Paco Díez Classroom-Museum
Re-imagine the pace of life in a time when people dedicate and contribute their life generously to the creation of magnificent musical instruments and forms of art, as well as the natural transmission of our music, dances, and literature.
Our classroom-museum is dedicated to the preservation and transmission of the rich Iberian cultures with six fundamental objectives:
-
To recover and maintain those traditional musical instruments whose use is gradually subsiding.
-
To pass down and to transmit our oral musical tradition through didactic concerts aimed at schoolchildren, cultural associations, and the general public.
-
Also to acknowledge the exchange between traditional music and culture from various parts of the world, to bring it closer to local and international audiences with our annual concert series.
-
To facilitate musical acquisition for the next generations, bringing together culture-bearing informants and inheritors, with young musicians who aspire to learn from their mastery and ingenuity.
-
To foster curiosity in the construction of musical instruments and the interpretation of traditional instruments.
-
To encourage audiences to discover and to make music in a participatory environment.
