CONCERT OF SONGWRITERS

FROM

SPAIN, FRANCE AND LATIN AMERICA

In the second half of the 20th century, the figure of the "singer-songwriter" emerged - a singer, author, and composer, writing songs on all themes in life. From birth to death, from the overflowing of love to the desire for love, they also sing about the sufferings from unemployment, emigration, and politics, among others.

The bouquet of themes that I have selected for this concert responds to those poets, singers, and instrumentalists who have influenced me profoundly - from Serrat to Sabina, Carlos Cano to Antonio Vega, Atahualpa Yupanki to Pablo Milanés, among others, as well as French composers such as Georges Brassens, Moustaki, Editt Piaf, Maxime le Forestier, and the Belgian singer Jacques Brel, who had such an influence on all singer-songwriters, not only from Europe, but from all over the world.
